Rita Mahfouz
Treasurer
Rita has more than 15 years of experience in the regulatory, investment banking and private equity sector with extensive knowledge in securities business, governance, corporate finance, financial advisory, private placements, financing, and mergers and acquisitions. She is currently head of division at the financial control unit at the Capital Markets Authority (CMA).
Prior to joining CMA, Rita was deputy head of corporate and investment banking department at Fransa Invest Bank and she was an investment officer at Capital Trust (Private Equity). In addition to her work as a regulator at CMA, she teaches as an instructor at the Economics department at Lebanese American University of Beirut (LAU).She also taught at the Sleiman Olayan School of Business at the American University of Beirut (AUB). She has a Bachelor’s degree in business
administration (Finance) and Master’s degree in Financial Economics from the American University of Beirut (AUB). She also obtained the Global Certificate Program for regulators of Securities Markets from Harvard Law School.
