Serge is a seasoned audit professional with over 20 years of experience in the financial and banking sector boasting extensive knowledge in tax, accounting, finance, credit and information technology & information security areas. He holds an MBA degree from the Lebanese American University (LAU) in Beirut. Serge is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) since 2008 and a platinum member in the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). He is also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and an active member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).

In 2012, Serge joined the Global Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) as an active member and became a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) thereafter. In addition, He is a Certified Public Accountant (LCPA) with the Lebanese Association of Certified Public Accountants (LACPA) since 2009. In 2015, he achieved an accreditation in Quality Assessment & Validation in accordance with the IIA Standards.

Following a 14-year tenure as Head of Audit for overseas activities at Bank of Beirut in Lebanon,  Serge joined BNP Paribas Fortis Headquarters in Brussels - Belgium as IT Audit Expert within the Group Internal Audit team in December 2021, a position he currently holds.
