Who We Are

The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners is the world's largest anti-fraud organization and premier provider of anti-fraud training and education. Together with more than 90,000 members, the ACFE is reducing business fraud world-wide and inspiring public confidence in the integrity and objectivity within the profession.

Based in Austin, Texas, the ACFE (an American Association) was founded in 1988 by preeminent fraud expert and author, Dr. Joseph T. Wells. Dr. Wells’ insight as an accountant-turned-FBI agent led to the formation of a common body of knowledge known today as fraud examination.

The ACFE Lebanon Chapter is organized by ACFE members who reside in Lebanon and share an interest in the detection and deterrence of fraud.
The ACFE Lebanon Chapter (a Lebanese Association, founded in 2013 as Chapter No. 176) is one of more than 190 ACFE Chapters worldwide and acts as local representative of the ACFE USA, providing continued support for ACFE members residing in Lebanon.

The mission of the ACFE Lebanon Chapter is to reduce the incidence of fraud and white-collar crime and to assist its Members in fraud detection and deterrence. To perform its mission, the Chapter’s objectives are to:
  • Create awareness of the CFE credential in Lebanon.
  • Serve the community through public education.
